Rory- Ten Months

Clothes: You are wearing 18-24 month clothing. Mainly 18 months but a few things fit you that are 24 months already.

Diapers: You are wearing size 4 diapers.

Food: There are only a few things I have found that you won't eat, hard boiled eggs you wouldn't try and you aren't a fan of peas. But everything else you have tried and eaten. You especially want whatever we are eating. You still love your bottles and drink about 4-5 6oz bottles a day. We need to work on you using a sippy cup but I haven't found one that you will even attempt to drink out from.

Sleep: Girl, can we please sleep through the night soon? Please? You are still getting up once a night, it is usually between 3-4am and you go right back to sleep so I feel like I really can't complain but this last week your wakings have been more frequent or at more random times. I know its just a phase but let's get back on track, please? Pretty please?

Likes: Every time I put you in the car you get really excited to see yourself in the mirror on the backseat, I am so glad you like (or tolerate) the car now, even if its just because of the mirror. You still have eyes for your Daddy, and boy do you light up when he comes around. You still think your sister is beyond funny, and I guess you like me too ;) You like board books, lift-a-flap books, and books with different textures on the pages. You like being a stinker and getting into everything you shouldn't. You like your sleep and your pacis and as long as I am moving you still like to be in your Ergo Carrier but not much longer now that you are more mobile I am sure.

Dislikes: You don't like me to leave you anymore. We took you and Caroline to Adventure PlayCare (a drop in hourly daycare) this month a couple of times while Mommy and Daddy had a few house meetings. You looked at me like I had betrayed you, and since that first time you have been very wary of anyone else wanting to hold you except Daddy and me. They said you were happy once I was out of sight but when I picked you  up you started crying again like you had remembered I had left. Sorry Baby Girl!

Highlights: You are WALKING!! You started a few weeks ago but the last couple of days you are choosing to walk instead of crawl most of the time. It's crazy to me you are walking a whole two months sooner than Caroline did. My sweet baby, please slow down! We went to your cousin, Mia's 1st Birthday, it was so much fun to celebrate her big day! We cannot wait to see yall grow up together and be the best of friends!

Rory- Nine Months

Stats:
 Weight 19lbs 7oz , Height 28.5"

Clothes: You can still wear a few 12 month things but you are pretty well in 18 month clothing mostly

Diapers: You are wearing size 4 diapers.

Food: You drink 4- 6oz bottles a day, and eat three meals a day. Usually at breakfast you just eat baby food, eggs or peanut butter toast. For lunch you usually have chicken nuggets with grean beans and/or fruit (pears, peaches, bananas, strawberries etc) For dinner you will usually eat pieces of whatever we are having, you love spaghetti the best I think, or we will make you some toddler raviolis with more fruits and veggies

Sleep: You have had a few nights recently where you have finally slept through the night. If you don't make it you get up for a bottle around 4am and then go back to bed for a few hours. 7:30-6:30 is your usual schedule.

Likes: You are a pretty happy kid. You love all the hand-me-down toys that Caroline gives you, your new favorite is a small pink beach ball, you love when Caroline plays with you or makes funny faces/noises etc. You love to clap, stand on your own, and crawl at super speed. You also like to crawl onto the low shelves of the tables we have or up and over the cross bars on the bottom of the dining chairs.

Dislikes: being still, you are constantly on the move! You don't like to ride in the car too long, or going to bed when you aren't ready.

Highlights: The biggest highlight this month was your cousins coming to visit from California. You had fun watching everyone run around and act crazy. They stayed at our house for a few days and then we went out to New Braunfels for the 4th of July to hang out some more.

Rory- Eight Months

Weight: We took you in for an ear check before we left on vacation and you weighed 18lbs 1oz. (your ears were clogged but fine)

Clothes: You can still wear a few 12 month things but you are pretty well in 18 month clothing mostly

Diapers: You are wearing size 4 diapers but just because I have two big boxes of them ready to go, you still could have fit into 3's but the 4's are working just fine.

Food: You don't like to take the time to drink your bottles anymore. You are drinking 4- 6oz bottles but it takes you awhile to drink them and one of them has been at 4am :-( but at least you go back to sleep til 7/7:30 afterward. You love eating what we are eating, and you love being able to feed yourself. This month you have done really well picking up your own food off your tray. You still eat at least one jar or pouch of baby food at each sitting but we have been giving you "adult" foods in addition to that. You have liked everything you have tried (strawberries are NOT your favorite surprisingly) but you have really enjoyed chicken pieces, pasta, blueberries, peanut butter toast, granola bars etc but your FAVORITE has to be bananas. You used to eat anything in baby food form but your favorites were the vegetables but now you won't eat the green been pouches, so I guess you are becoming more particular.

Sleep: You got to bed around 7pm sometimes a bit before or after. You have been getting up once a night for a bottle usually around 3am or 4am and then you go back to bed until about 7. I am definitely ready for you to go back to sleeping through the night like you used to but you drink your bottle so fast at night that I feel like you must need it. You definitely give lots of non verbal cues to tell us you are tired (lots of eye rubbing...lots). I noticed this month that you have been burying your face in your blankie and you play with your puppy when you wait for me in the morning.

Likes: You like to give open mouth kisses, clap your hands, you love to say dadadadada and something sounding like "hey", you still like to swing in your baby swing sometimes, pacifiers, standing on your own for a bit, finding Rollie, chewing on any shoe you can find

Dislikes: staying still for diaper changes, being put down to sleep when you aren't sleepy, waking up hungry, long car rides, drinking full bottles, being left behind if we walk out of a room, getting teeth (you have two)

Highlights: We took a trip to Seguin to celebrate Eli's birthday, you enjoyed crawling around the floor at Chuck E Cheese with your second cousin Owen. We visited your first splashpad with friends. You also took your first trip to the Frio River! You loved chewing on the rocks every chance you got and floating in your baby float for awhile. You mostly enjoyed watching everyone else splash around and be in the water.
