Baby Must Haves! (in my humble opinion)

I had a friend ask me the other day what a few things were that I felt were must-haves for their new baby. I am by no means an expert and Miss C has only been with us a few months now but there are a few things that have certainly made our lives a little easier!

Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play Sleeper - My Little Snugabunny
This thing was invaluable to us the first two months of Caroline's Life. She slept in this every night until we moved her into her crib in her own room at two months. It was nice because it folded up and was lightweight and portable. When we traveled to see family/friends around Christmas this is what we brought for her to sleep in and we didn't have any issues. It stayed on my side of the bed mainly but for awhile we took shifts sleeping, with her in this, in the living room so one of us was always getting good sleep not hearing baby noises.

Fisher-Price My Little Snugabunny Cradle Swing
If I could ONLY choose ONE baby item to have this would HANDS DOWN be the one I would pick! We have it set up in a corner in our living room, and it is HEAVEN. (is that enough caps for you) Caroline loves to take naps in her swing and watch the little birdies fly around and look at the ball mirror in the center as well. Its a nice place to put her when I need to go to the bathroom or wash dishes or something but also nice for her to nap in as well.  It is super soft and looks extremely comfortable. And if we are honest I would love to have an adult sized one for me. There are multiple speed settings and it can swing front to back or side to side (we have it on the side to side option) I cannot sing enough praises about it. It will be a SAD SAD day when she out grows it, but hopefully that won't be for a long time.

Babies R Us 3 Ply Diaper Prefold 12 Pack
Let me start by saying that we do not cloth diaper Caroline, but my sister-in-law, told me that these cloth diapers make the best burp cloths. We had 2 packs of 12 and that is the perfect amount. They get so much softer with each wash and we always have at least one or two within arms length. They are very absorbent and just great to have.

Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator
This is a new one for me and I already know what you are thinking...gross...I know. I swore to myself that I would never use one..vom.vom.vom. However this is so much better then using the bulb aspirators that are provided at the hospital or with any baby medical kit you get. The premise is you suck on one end of the tube and the other end of the pencil look device goes just inside the baby's nostril and then you suck out all the gunk. Nothing gets in your mouth, there is a filter and a really long tube between you and the baby and it actually takes a lot of breath to suck anything out anyway. I was told by my sister in law that the hospital recommended this to her when my nephew had RSV.
It helped with Caroline's new baby congestion and to be honest its kind of rewarding how much you can get out of there. Haha, oh and all the pieces come apart so they are easy to clean too!

Milliard 2" Ventilated Memory Foam Crib Mattress Topper + Removable Waterproof 65% Cotton Non-Slip Cover
When we moved Caroline to her crib she was suddenly in a space where she had tons of room to move around, she would turn in circles in her crib because those baby mattresses are so dang firm. We were ordering ourselves a memory foam mattress topper for our bed and we thought why not get her one as well. It has made a huge difference. Within a few days of putting the crib mattress on her bed she started sleeping through the night 8+ hours...and that my friends makes this purchase amazing!

MyBaby by Homedics SoundSpa
We used to use a white noise app on our phone's when Caroline slept in our room so when we moved her to her room we wanted to get her a sound machine so we could hold onto our phones. It has 6 different options for sound and we use the crashing waves noise for Caroline. I am not sure if she NEEDS it or not but it is so nice for me to have little whimpers drowned out a bit coming over our monitor (I wake up for every toss and turn) so its nice to only hear the cries. So this is one I NEED :)

I hope this list helps anyone who might be baby registering, and I feel like these will be things I universally use for future kids too :)
