Etsy Love

Has anyone else discovered the awesomeness that is Etsy? I am thoroughly in love. I have purchased a few gifts from Etsy, as well as, a few things for our house. Here are a few things on my wish list:

I have been on the hunt for a new bi-fold wallet for awhile now and I think this one is cute :)

I carry a rather large leather purse...well lets face it...its a bag and I am in love with it. I am forever ignoring the eye rolling of my husband, however, as I dig and dig for my keys... I think this is the answer to my problem. I know these things have been around for awhile, but I don't think the accessory loving side of me had really started coming out until recently.

Again...because I have a big purse I...obviously...need smaller bags to put into my big bag... logic people. And who could go wrong with an $8 cosmetic bag :) Oddly enough I would use it for things like hand sanitizer and bobby pins instead of makeup but to each her own.

Now if I could get each of these things to sort of coordinate with each other that would be great but if not... oh well. Anybody have any must shares from Etsy? I think this website is going to revolutionize the way I give gifts :)

Update1: I have found coordinating pieces :)
     Update 2: Ordered a few things :)

Philip & Amanda's Graduation

This past weekend Ben and I took another trip to our beloved College Station for Philip and Amanda's Graduation. Philip graduated with a degree in Human Resources and Amanda graduated with a degree in Education. We are so happy and excited for them. Watching them graduate, Ben and I were reminded of our crazy whirlwind that was 2010. Philip and Amanda will be getting married in July, and getting new jobs, moving to a new town etc. We know exactly how they are feeling right now. It was such an exciting time for us and we wish them all the happiness and excitement that marriage and all the other life changes bring.

The Best Weekend

We had the best weekend two weekends ago. Ben and I took, a much needed, day off of work to welcome Michael and April to our house. They were in town for a Aggie Band Reunion, in College Station, that we went to on Saturday.

They got in around lunch time on Friday and we had to get them some Whataburger stat. They currently live in New Mexico and miss Whataburger and if you know me and Ben we were happy to join them. Then that afternoon the boys went to explore Academy and a Harley Davidson shop and April and I went to get pedicures. It was incredibly relaxing and just what we needed to get the weekend started. That evening we got to take the self proclaimed "pizza snobs" to our favorite New York Style Pizza Place, Grimaldi's. If you haven't been Ben and I would love to take you! We cannot get enough of that place. We are happy to report that I think they loved it as much as we do, and I will count that a success. Tiramisu for dessert and you have the perfect dinner :)

The next morning we woke up early to get on the road to College Station. We made it just in time for the 1st Step Off for Final Review, from the Quad. After watching the band march by we headed with Ben and Michael's corps buddies to the see the newly renovated MSC. It was so pretty. Despite the new modern look of most of the building, it still felt very similar to the MSC I fell in love with while being a student. After visiting for a bit it was time to head back to the quad for 2nd Pass. During 2nd Pass the Corps members change into their new uniforms for next year and officially take on their new ranks. They then Step Off from the Quad for a second time for a second review at Kyle Field. The main reason we made the trip for Final Review is because the freshmen (when Ben was a senior) were getting their senior boots. After 2nd Pass it is tradition for the zips of the fish to come back and pull their boots for them. We had so much fun catching up with buddies and seeing the little fish all grown up :)

After all the ceremonial things were said and done we headed to our favorite College Station eatery, Potato Shack, for some lunch. I always forget just how much I love that place. Then after, we had an Aggie Band Class of 2010 reunion at BJ's Brewhouse. It was a good time catching up with buddies. We headed home and grabbed some dinner before retiring for the night after a long but fun day. The next day we went to lunch with Michael and April before they started their trek home. It was so good to see them and we missed them as soon as they left. We cannot wait to have more great weekends with them in the future. It was an awesome weekend full of food and friends, what could be better? :)
