Halloween 2015

You were the cutest Minnie Mouse I have ever seen for Halloween. I may be a little bias, but really, so darn cute.

You had so much fun Trick or Treating this year with your cousins. They were super heroes and you were Minnie. Jackson-4, James- 2 (almost 3), Caroline

You would lag behind the boys a little bit but you never had to wait for candy because the boys had already knocked on the door. You would say "Trick Treat" and would want to either pick out your own candy or have the people hand it to you so you could put it in your bucket yourself. 

You would say "Thank you, Love You, Bye Bye" and blow everyone kisses. It was the sweetest and funniest thing! You really made everyone's night. When we were all done trick or treating we offered to carry your bucket home for you and for you to ride in the stroller but you wouldn't have it. You were so off balance carrying that heavy bucket of candy but you were so proud of your work.  You could have stayed out for hours. You had so much fun wanting to go to the "next house, next house"

23 Months

- This month we went down to Portland to celebrate your Great Grandmother's 90th birthday. We got to see lots of extended family and go to a birthday dinner with everyone in Corpus. 

- We spent a lot of time this month outside. You have had so much fun watching the leaves change colors and fall. You like to collect certain ones. 

- Mommy and Daddy got to have a date night in College Station for and Aggie Football game this month. You stayed with your cousins with a babysitter. You learned to love their bounce house while you were there. And from the sound of it you a had a lot of fun and went to sleep with no issue. :)

- We also started going to a story time at the local library. You love it! Every time we go you have to find Piglet (the stuffed animal) and do Thomas (the train) puzzles. You like to walk into the activity room and immediately grab a sticker and a bag of animal crackers. You like the songs the most and are always ready for craft-time afterward because you have discovered a love for glue sticks (the purple ones). I had to tell you that Piglet lives at the library so you will be ok with leaving him there and then we go and check out a few books for the week. You are so proud to hand over your new library card to the attendant. 

- I don't know what is going on with you lately as far as your sleeping is concerned. We think you have started to sleep walk. You will wake up at a random time during the night and walk to wherever we are. You are not upset or wanting to play, and when we lead you back to bed you immediately go back to sleep. So I guess it could be worse but I feel bad that your sleep is being interrupted.

-You love to pretend shop. You love to fill up your shopping cart and walk around the house saying "go shopping, go shopping"

- You have also wanted me to "wrap up" your babies for you. You have been such a sweet mommy to all of your animals and babies lately.

- Some phrases you have been saying lately: "I don't know", "I did", "Up down, up down", "No, I'm fine", "so cute", "oh goodness"

22 Months

- You have so many words and phrases in your vocab bank but I like "I got you" and "tickles" "oh, gosh" the best. You know all of your colors and body parts including some weird ones like brows, neck, shoulders, elbows etc. We are working on your shapes right now and you love pointing out circles and stars; you also pointed out the moon the other day, caught me off guard.

- You have started to come out of your room on your own in the morning and after naps. You will come out and quietly look around for me until you see me, and instead of saying mommy or hi, you say waffles. Good Morning to you too sweetheart :)

- I love that you call pajamas "jammies" and you get so excited when your Daddy leaves you block towers to find when you wake up. You also like to listen to music with headphones with Daddy and watch videos of zebras, monkeys, bears and bunnies.

- We still love our park visits. I am looking forward to taking you more often now that its starting to get a little cooler. You like to find pinecones but always make sure to put them back before we leave.

- We took a trip to Grandma and Grandpas Ranch this month to celebrate Grandpas 65th Birthday. You really liked their chickens, roosters and meeting their new donkey Daisy. Daisy was a little afraid of you but you had no fear and would charge the fence and laugh when she ran away. haha You also had fun following your cousins Mason and Tyler around all weekend.

This month you went to two birthday parties. The first was for your cousin Jackson's 4th Birthday. They had it at a splashpad in their neighborhood and you had so much fun. It's funny watching you play, you usually are very social with one or two kids but when their is a larger group you tend to play independently and take your play very seriously. Hence the facial expressions. 

The second birthday we went to was for your buddy Parker, who turned 2. You have talked non stop about him since his Fiesta Party. You had fun making your own maraca and pulling a string from the pinata. You even won a pinata to take home with you and you played with it for several days. 

We got together with your cousins and Aunt Jessica for pizza and ice cream at our house to celebrate Blue Bell being back! We had to do our part and support our Texas Ice Cream Company. ;-) I am so glad Jessica was there because you took a hard fall and hit your head on our kitchen tile. It was nice to have her input on whether or not we should take you to get checked out. I am not sure I would have stayed as calm if it were just us at home.

Obviously we are excited for football season starting! Gig'em Aggies! And it only took 22 months but Rollie is finally coming around. Huge strides to let you sit on her back. :)

 - We have had fun spending more time on the porch playing with your water table.

21 Months

You love to pray before bed. This month we started asking you who you want to pray for after we get done with our Daddy, Mommy, Caroline, Rollie list and sometimes you will give Daddy and I extra blessings but sometimes its for other people or Mickey characters...regardless it is really sweet to see who you add every night.

You are starting to yell out the names of the Mickey characters during the intro to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show as well as "Oh Toodles" and "Miska Mooska Mouska Tools"

You also follow all the directions for "If you're happy and you know it" ie. clap your hands, stomp your feet (your favorite) and shout hurray. With hurray you usually pump your fist in the air too.

You have been associating the books we read with your stuffed animals now. If we read about a polar bear you go get your stuffed polar bear to read with us, or your bunny or cow or whichever other animal we happen to have.

You have been bringing me my purse and shoes to tell me you want to go somewhere.

You can recognize Home Depot even when we are in a new city. When we pass the sign you always get really excited and want to "drive, drive, drive". They have the carts with the kids steering wheels and you love them.

You also shout out "Target" when we pass by one. Guess we go there a little too often. One time a few months ago I let you get a snack while we were there and you still ask for one as soon as we walk in the doors. AND do not get me started on HEB, you are absolutely obsessed with the HEB Buddy Game! You were even an Instant Winner this month. Free Sunglasses... whoo hoo!

This month you got to take a trip to Wichita Falls to see your cousin, Jay, be baptized.

We also had to replace our air conditioning unit and you got to sleep with Mommy for a week while we were waiting on our install appointment. As much fun as it was to have our own portable ac unit keeping us cool at night, we are both glad to be back in our separate beds.We spent a lot of our time in bed and coloring in the living room directly in front of the temporary ac units.

You got to visit with another couple of babies this month including Edith and Jay! You loved trying to give them their pacis and giving them toys to play with. You are such a good little mommy :)

This July we have made several trips to the park, spent several hours on the back porch, baked cookies (you really like to mix the ingredients and "tap tap tap" them on the side of bowl to get them out of the measuring cups) We have also played with your water table using bubbles and taken midday cool baths to beat the heat.
