Clothes: You can still wear a few 12 month things but you are pretty well in 18 month clothing mostly
Diapers: You are wearing size 4 diapers but just because I have two big boxes of them ready to go, you still could have fit into 3's but the 4's are working just fine.
Food: You don't like to take the time to drink your bottles anymore. You are drinking 4- 6oz bottles but it takes you awhile to drink them and one of them has been at 4am :-( but at least you go back to sleep til 7/7:30 afterward. You love eating what we are eating, and you love being able to feed yourself. This month you have done really well picking up your own food off your tray. You still eat at least one jar or pouch of baby food at each sitting but we have been giving you "adult" foods in addition to that. You have liked everything you have tried (strawberries are NOT your favorite surprisingly) but you have really enjoyed chicken pieces, pasta, blueberries, peanut butter toast, granola bars etc but your FAVORITE has to be bananas. You used to eat anything in baby food form but your favorites were the vegetables but now you won't eat the green been pouches, so I guess you are becoming more particular.
Sleep: You got to bed around 7pm sometimes a bit before or after. You have been getting up once a night for a bottle usually around 3am or 4am and then you go back to bed until about 7. I am definitely ready for you to go back to sleeping through the night like you used to but you drink your bottle so fast at night that I feel like you must need it. You definitely give lots of non verbal cues to tell us you are tired (lots of eye rubbing...lots). I noticed this month that you have been burying your face in your blankie and you play with your puppy when you wait for me in the morning.
Likes: You like to give open mouth kisses, clap your hands, you love to say dadadadada and something sounding like "hey", you still like to swing in your baby swing sometimes, pacifiers, standing on your own for a bit, finding Rollie, chewing on any shoe you can find
Dislikes: staying still for diaper changes, being put down to sleep when you aren't sleepy, waking up hungry, long car rides, drinking full bottles, being left behind if we walk out of a room, getting teeth (you have two)
Highlights: We took a trip to Seguin to celebrate Eli's birthday, you enjoyed crawling around the floor at Chuck E Cheese with your second cousin Owen. We visited your first splashpad with friends. You also took your first trip to the Frio River! You loved chewing on the rocks every chance you got and floating in your baby float for awhile. You mostly enjoyed watching everyone else splash around and be in the water.
